Pregnancy Is Not For Sissies

I swear, if it's not one thing lately, it's another. Just when I thought I could breathe a big sigh of relief about the polyhydramnios, it appears that John has changed position and is no longer engaged in my pelvis (where's he's stayed happily for weeks). I will be having yet another ultrasound next week to see where the little turkey has arranged himself now.

I will be more than happy when all this pregnancy stuff is over and done with. I am sick to death of ultraounds and NSTs.

Because Sam's language skills are so much improved, I'm been reading him lots of books about new babies and big brotherhood. He has a special preference for I'm A Big Brother by Joanna Cole and I think I've read it to him at least six times today. He can point out the baby and the big brother when I ask, but has also just learned the names for baby and bear. So I'm not sure if it's the story he's interested in or just the chance to point at more words he knows.

  1. Oh hon! I'm so sorry this is not going easier for you. Is the concern that John is breech? There are exercises to get him to turn back... let me know if you want more info.

Also, we too have the Cole book. It's a really good one and really helped Hamlet out too. (He also liked her potty training book.) It did take him some time even after reading the book to warm up to his baby brother, but now they are good friends... most of the time. :)

I love your comments! They make my day.
