I'm going to stop working on my book for a while. The whole process is stressing me out right now, mostly because I feel like my health is in some fuzzy gray area. With Sam, I had pre-term labor at 30 weeks, which was mercifully stopped, but it resulted in 7 weeks of bedrest and as well as horrible migraine-inducing drugs to surpress contractions. I also ended up with high blood pressure during my final weeks of pregnancy and ended up being induced right before my due date.
Today at the doctor's office, I told my OBGYN about the excruciating pains I've been having on occassion at night--that the intensity is similar to labor--but in all the wrong places. He's currently running tests on my bladder, kidneys, etc. and I'm to go back in later this week to have an ultrasound of my internal organs--specifically my ovaries. Just to be on the safe side, he also ordered a NST test, and while I was hooked up to the monitor, I had a few contractions. Technically I shouldn't have any contractions at this point, but the doctor wasn't concerned *yet* and said he'd monitor me. On top of all of that, my blood pressure hasn't been "low" in several months. This week it was 120/83. So he said we'd have to keep an eye on that too.
I've just got too much going on right now to concentrate on my book. Hopefully, with a little rest, I'll be able to get back to it again in the next few weeks.
