Tom has bitten the bullet and has started tiling the entry way. It'll be a long time until he finishes, because we plan to do the entire 900 sq feet downstairs. But it's gorgeous and worth the wait! I'm hoping the entry way and dining room will be finished by Sam's birthday party.
After this is done, we want to install hardwoods on the stairs and all the bedrooms upstairs and tile both bathrooms upstairs.... And there's still more painting to do. But after the house is in order inside, and the outside is taken care of, I have a new project for Tom. I want him to build us a working brick oven in the backyard for making homemade bread. I found this today while looking up ideas for Sam's first birthday. Is this not the coolest thing you've ever seen? http://web.tampabay.rr.com/brickoven/ Seeing as how I already spend about $7 for a loaf of gluten free bread, it might actually pay for itself in the long run if I made bread for myself... Or not... But that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :-)
